These are constant air volume control devices that operate by mechanically self-regulating. They do not require any electric actuator. They are used to provide constant air volume control with a deviation rate of ± 10%. The air volume can be adjusted using an Allen key via the adjustment mechanism on the device.
It has a wide operating range with air velocities between 2 and 10 m/s and pressures between 50 and 1000 Pa.
